Sunsets and silhouettes always make photographs look like they’ve been taken on Venice Beach – but this sun-drenched plateau couldn’t be further from California. It is none other than Tesco car park in Ilfracombe, North Devon. Amazing what good light and a bit of careful cropping can do to a picture.
As a beginner skater, Tesco’s smooth empty tarmac seemed like a natural starting point to work on my cruising, turning and generally not launching myself onto the floor. I ended up taking more pictures of my companion cruising than skating myself.
